Sydney-born Z.L. Whitcher has traveled the world, living in Auckland, Amsterdam, London, and Portland. She’s always been fascinated with new cultures and places, which has inspired her passion for world-building and magical lore. For the past fifteen years, she’s worked as a writer / creative director in advertising and has won several awards including a bronze and silver Cannes Lions for film and events, as well as penning a top pop hit featured on MTV Asia.

She’s tried all styles of writing from songwriting, poems, a historical drama screenplay, an immersive theatre play, and now her debut novel ‘When Dreams End’. She enjoys crafting memorable characters and building worlds for audiences to get lost in. 

Zoë currently lives in Melbourne, Australia. She supports a failing AFL team, has a toasted sarnie obsession, and a go-to musical theatre playlist that is embarrassing yet satisfying.
